the final frontier

Today I asked somebody who works for a bereavement counseling charity, if they had any clients who would like to have their loved ones photographed after they died. Unpremeditated, a sort of ad hoc idea. On reflection I found it a little ghoulish . Mainly because the motivation was commercial. One needs a gimmick these days, ideally new, taboo breaking and shocking - which is not the same as original. 'Original' has become an impossibility in my view, which is why I am considering stunts involving the dead. In the best possible taste, of course.
